All those students planning on transferring to a four year school next fall: Make sure all of your information has been sent to the transfer school! Many deadlines have already past but others will be coming up very soon.

Many students come out of high school expecting college will be exciting and easily handled. Many have no idea what they want to do ... except go to college.

Knowing what you want is important. You need to pick a direction. You need to know that your path is achievable. Planning that path is vital.

Transferring to a four year school is a process not just an event. Talk to a counselor as you plan your future.

Hollins "2 for 1"

“2 for 1” offer is an award for transfer students.  If a student receives this, they will have two years (4 semesters) at Hollins for the price of one.

This is only good for two years, so if a student transfers and is here for three years they will have to pay for the third year (of course we have a financial aid office that is more than happy to help students figure that third year out together).

We are offering this next spring 2013 and fall 2013.

The only requirements are to be a transfer student and to have at least a 2.75 GPA.  They do not need to fill out any additional paperwork to apply for this offer.  All they have to do is apply, turn in all required materials, and be admitted.

We then look for that 2.75 GPA, and they receive the “2 for 1” offer.

***Please note that on our transfer brochure we have the Phi Theta Kappa and Transfer Award listed ---if a student receives the “2 for 1” they cannot receive the Phi Theta Kappa and Transfer Award also ----it is either “2 for 1” or Phi Theta Kappa/Transfer Award.
