If you are planning to transfer to a four year school there are a number of things you need to keep in mind:
First: Do you know the deadlines for Spring transfer? Fall transfer?
Second; Have you met with the tranfer counselor at the four year school and had your unofficial transcript evaluated?
Third: Have you filled out your graduation application for CVCC?
Fourth: Do you meet guaranteed admission requirements at the four year school and have you checked on that to be sure? The General Studies degree is not accepted for guaranteed admissions by many schools.
Fifth: Be aware that if your GPA is high enough you may be eligible for the transfer scholarship sponsored by the state. If you have applied for graduation this will be noted on your transcript.
Last but not least, don't guess, don't assume, don't depend on what "they" say; meet with a CVCC counselor during spring/summer registration and have a degree check done and a comparison to the four year school.
